I recently caught up with Jesse Messom of Bigfoot Industrial Services Ltd and here’s what he had to say about his partnership with Capital Now Inc.
Katie: How long have you been a client of Capital Now Inc.?
Jesse: I believe it’s been 3 years now.
Katie: In 1 word, how would you describe your experience with Capital Now Inc.?
Katie: Did you have any hesitations before partnering with Capital Now Inc.?
Jesse: Yes. I had just never factored before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect so it was not just Capital Now Inc., it was all the companies that I looked at.
I think my experience was better than my expectation. Capital Now Inc. is very responsive and basically what I need is responsive. When I send invoices to be factored it is because I need money now and they provide the capital now.
Katie: What was the turning point that got you to take action?
Jesse: I needed money and if I remember correctly, I googled factoring companies in Calgary. I went through a couple. I talked to 3 different companies and I really liked the response from Capital Now Inc.; the friendliness and the willingness to help out. That was what ultimately helped me make my decision to move forward with Capital Now Inc. It put me at ease, I guess.
Katie: And then what happened?
Jesse: I got the money and back then you guys didn’t have the weekly reporting which was fine but I got the money and once the cheque was paid to Capital Now Inc. I got the rest of it and, yeah, it was a good experience.
The only thing from my accountant at the time was that they didn’t know how to record the transaction which Natalie was very helpful with and shortly thereafter I remember getting an email asking if it would be a beneficial service if Capital Now Inc. were to provide instructions to the accountant from the get go with a new client to let them know how to record the transactions.
Katie: And did that help?
Jesse: Well, I was already past that point with my accountant but it was nice to see that they followed up and took my situation and did something about it. Capital Now Inc. had realized there was a gap that they could correct and they took the initiative to go ahead and do something about it. It is nice to see that they are a company that wants to get better at what they do.
Katie: Has your business changed as a result of your partnership with Capital Now Inc.?
Jesse: Yes it has because I have the ability to get cash flow when I need it if I need it.
Katie: Tell me about a situation where Capital Now Inc. went out of their way to help?
Jesse: There have been a couple instances where I had gotten invoices off to them towards the middle of the day, mid-afternoon, and they went out of their way to make sure that I got the funds. Natalie emailed to say that we were cutting it close but that she was going to work hard to get me the money because “I know that’s why you’re sending the invoices.” Actually, she even asked if I needed the money that day and went out of her way to make sure that I got it.
Katie: Can you think of a situation where Capital Now Inc. was difficult to deal with?
Katie: What, if anything, would you change about your experience with Capital Now Inc.?
Jesse: Cheaper fees? *laughs* Other than that, everything is great!
Katie: What would you say to prospective clients of Capital Now Inc.?
Jesse: I would say, go for it if you need an extra avenue to get cash flow when you require it. Capital Now Inc. is the [factoring] company to go with because of their response time and their willingness to go out of their way to help you.
Katie: What can we do to surprise you? What can we do, not to make our service better, but to make you tell everyone about it?
Jesse: I don’t know. Nothing really comes to mind. One thing that has already happened is the issue with the accounting and Capital Now Inc. just going ahead and sending a survey to ask what is valuable. That surprised me.
Katie: Do you have any additional feedback or suggestions for Capital Now Inc.?
Jesse: Cheaper fees! *laughs* That’s it. Other than that, they are great! They are fantastic!
