Earlier this afternoon I caught Jim Callan, former owner of Bow Valley Allied Masonry in Calgary, on his mobile enjoying his retirement. I was able to catch up for a moment or two on his experience working with Capital Now, Inc. This is what he had to say:
Katie: How long were you a client of Capital Now?
Jim: Over a year.
Katie: In 1 word, how would you describe your experience with Capital Now?
Jim: It was excellent!
Katie: Did you have any hesitations before partnering with Capital Now?
Jim: I did. I did because I’d never done anything like that before but I was very impressed with the support that I got.
Katie: Can you describe a particular hesitation you had?
Jim: Lack of knowledge. I didn’t know how the system worked. The visibility wasn’t there for Capital Now compared to regular banks. The widespread knowledge of Capital Now wasn’t there.
Katie: What was the turning point that got you to take action?
Jim: Experience. Convenience. And cash flow.
Katie: And then what happened once you started working with Capital Now?
Jim: They were highly supportive. I would not hesitate to do business with them in any way shape or form! They are excellent people to deal with. When difficulties arose they were very helpful and supportive.

Katie: Has your business changed as a result of your partnership with Capital Now?
Jim: Well, it’s changed in the fact that I’ve retired.
Katie: Tell me about a situation where Capital Now went out of their way to help?
Jim: I had a cash crunch and the cash flow wasn’t coming in but they increased my allowance and basically got me out of a problem. They raised the ceiling of my ability to cash the cheques.
Katie: Can you think of a situation where Capital Now was difficult to deal with?
Jim: No. I had a very, very good experience. There were a few times they were difficult to get a hold of. Other than that, there were no issues.
Katie: What, if anything, would you change about your experience with Capital Now?
Jim: I don’t really have anything to say on that one. It was a reasonable experience. I understood how it worked and it worked while we were in business.
Katie: What would you say to prospective clients of Capital Now?
Jim: I would say, be confident in working with Capital Now!

Katie: What can we do to surprise you? What can we do, not to make this better, but to make you tell everyone about it?
Jim: Well you could write me a cheque for $100k! That would help. Other than that, nothing. Ha!
Katie: I imagine that would help! Ha!
